Our thought for the week is: CHOSEN! Consider these themes from the word of God.
Reflection for Monday: Chosen for a Purpose
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light" (1 Peter 2:9, KJV).
As we begin the week, let's remember that we are chosen by God for a specific purpose. We are called to be a light in the darkness, to show forth God's praises and to glorify Him in all we do.
Reflection for Tuesday: Chosen to Bear Fruit
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you" (John 15:16, KJV).
Today, let's reflect on the fact that we are chosen to bear fruit for God's kingdom. We are ordained to produce lasting fruit that will bring glory to God and bless others.
Reflection for Wednesday: Chosen to be Holy
"For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?" (1 Thessalonians 2:19, KJV).
As we approach the midpoint of the week, let's remember that we are chosen to be holy, set apart for God's purposes. We are called to live a life that is pleasing to God, and to look forward to the hope of eternal life with Him.
Reflection for Thursday: Chosen to be Strong
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13, KJV).
Today, let's reflect on the fact that we are chosen to be strong in the Lord. We are empowered by Christ to overcome any obstacle and to accomplish great things for His kingdom.
Reflection for Friday: Chosen to be a Witness
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" (1 Peter 3:15, KJV).
